On October 24, 2012, Welcare Children’s Hospital was established! Since then, the hospital has proudly served and provided diagnosis to over 3,00,000 patients. Under the guidance of Dr. Nilesh Baraiya, the hospital has successfully admitted and treated more than 35,000 patients. In our NICU, over 4,000 babies have been admitted and recovered to full health. We also hold extensive experience in treating around 2,000 critically ill premature babies. Through the Ayushman Card scheme, more than 1,000 newborns have received free medical treatment.

Meet Our Doctor
A highly experienced pediatrician with more than 15 years of service in child healthcare and neonatology, he completed both his graduation and post-graduation from Shri M.P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar. He began his career at Civil Hospital, Junagadh, serving as a Class-1 Pediatrician before moving into private practice to further expand his expertise.
In 2012, he founded Well Care Children Hospital, Junagadh, with the vision of creating a modern pediatric and neonatal center that provides advanced treatments with a compassionate approach. Over the years, the hospital has become a trusted destination for families seeking comprehensive pediatric care and neonatal intensive support.
Dr. Baraiya specializes in neonatal care, particularly in treating critically ill and premature newborns, including babies born as early as 750 grams. His areas of expertise also cover pediatric nutrition, critical care, vaccinations, and long-term child health management, ensuring children receive care that supports both recovery and healthy growth.
To further enhance his practice, he has completed international programs such as the Post Graduate Program in Pediatric Nutrition (PGPN) from Boston, USA, and the APT Masterclass of Neonatology by the American Academy of Pediatrics, equipping him with global knowledge to deliver evidence-based treatments.
Through his clinical leadership and compassionate care, Dr. Baraiya has touched thousands of young lives and continues to be a guiding force for parents and families seeking reliable pediatric expertise in Junagadh and surrounding regions.
With over 4 years of extensive clinical experience, he has established himself as a dedicated pediatrician and neonatologist committed to providing advanced care for newborns and children. His journey in medicine began at GAIMS, Bhuj, where he earned his M.B.B.S., followed by a D.C.H. in Pediatrics from M.S. University, Baroda. His passion for neonatal medicine led him to further specialize through the prestigious NEOPEARLS Fellowship under Dr. Pradeep Suryavanshi, where he trained in advanced neonatal care with exposure to global standards.
Over the years, he has gained diverse experience across multiple reputed healthcare institutions, including Civil Hospital Ahmedabad, GMERS Dharpur, SSG Hospital Baroda, and Civil Hospital Junagadh. He also served as a frontline COVID Consultant during the pandemic, showcasing his commitment to community health in times of crisis.
His professional career further includes significant roles at Ashirwad Children Hospital, Anjar, where he worked as a full-time pediatrician for 1.5 years, and Navjeevan Multi-Speciality Hospital, Amreli, where he provided pediatric and neonatal services for one year.
